The big thing today is that The Hobbit preview story finally has an ending, with the full main and eternal galleries up and no Commander precons this time, so most of the reprints are coming from beginner-style products rather than fancy new Commander decks, according to MTGGoldfish. That, paired with Settle the Wreckage officially confirmed as back in Standard from yesterday’s previews via MTGGoldfish and Star City Games, sets up a pretty clear expectation that white control and midrange will have real tools again once this set hits shelves. If anything looks suspicious over the next couple days it will be older white control staples quietly climbing on the back of Settle’s return, or people overrating eternal-set reprints that are really just there to teach new players what a Doom Blade is.
